- The structure of the sentences. There is a common delusion among students. They think the longer sentences they make the smarter their work will appear. In reality long overcomplicated sentences are not the advantage of a college term paper. It is better to use shorter and a bit simpler sentences. - The use of tenses and voices. The best option for college term papers is active voice. However, the use of tenses can vary, so do not be obsessed with present tense only.
- The length of the paragraphs of your college term papers. The standard length of a paragraph is one page. So, try not to exceed this limit. It happens that you cannot use even a half of a page, due to the lack of information, for instance. In these cases such cunning people like students start using too big margins or too many spaces. You have just forgotten that your tutor is even cannier than you are and he or she will surely notice your various tricks.
- The language used in your college term paper. Finally, you should always pay attention to the language that you use in your college term paper. Forget about colloquialism, slang and any other forms of informal language.
